MindHack Malaysia 2025 : National Coding Tournament

Updated: 5th September 2025
Introduction: MindHack Malaysia 2025
MindHack Malaysia 2025 is a national coding tournament designed for young minds who love technology and creativity. Open to students aged 7 to 17, the event offers a fun and engaging platform where participants take on exciting challenges in:
-
Coding & Animation
-
Electronics & Robotics
-
3D Design & Modelling
More than just a competition, MindHack is a learning journey. Participants will work closely with instructors from CIY.Club, who will guide, support, and mentor them throughout the event. It's a chance to boost coding skills, solve real-world problems, and collaborate in teams — all while making new friends and exploring the world of tech in a hands-on, creative way.

Theme
The theme for MindHack Malaysia 2025 is Warisan Digital: Colours of Malaysia. This theme invites participants to explore and celebrate Malaysia’s rich cultural diversity by using technology as a tool for preservation, promotion, and creative expression. Inspired by Malaysia’s vibrant traditions—such as the rhythmic beats of the kompang, the intricate designs of batik, age-old folktales, heritage crafts, and traditional celebrations—participants are encouraged to reimagine these cultural treasures in modern, meaningful ways.

Under this theme, participants will use technology to highlight the essence of Malaysian identity. They might design interactive animations of traditional games, create 3D models of historical landmarks, or develop electronics projects inspired by cultural festivals. The focus is on engaging with cultural elements in fun, innovative, and educational formats.

This theme aims to nurture awareness, creativity, and innovation in young participants while grounding their projects in cultural appreciation and national pride. It serves to:
-
Celebrate Cultural Diversity: Encourage participants to discover and showcase the richness of Malaysia’s multicultural society through their digital projects.
-
Innovate with Purpose: Inspire the use of technology to creatively preserve and promote heritage in ways that resonate with today’s generation.
-
Bridge Generations: Connect young creators with Malaysia’s traditional stories, values, and customs, making them accessible and relevant in the digital age.
-
Build Future-Ready Skills: Provide hands-on experience in coding, electronics, and 3D design while enhancing critical thinking, problem-solving, and cultural literacy.
