MindHack Malaysia 2025

MindHack Malaysia 2025 is a national coding tournament for students aged 7–17 who are interested in technology and creativity. Participants will work in teams and take part in one of the following areas:

• Coding & Animation

• Electronics & Robotics

• 3D Design & Modelling

The event focuses on learning through hands-on experience, guided by instructors from CIY.Club. Participants will develop technical skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities while exploring technology in a fun and engaging way.

Theme: Warisan Digital – Colours of Malaysia

This theme encourages participants to use technology to showcase Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage. Inspired by traditional arts, festivals, stories, and landmarks, students will create digital projects that preserve and promote Malaysian culture in creative and meaningful ways.

Age Groups

• Wizards: 7–10 years

• Heroes: 11–14 years

• Masters: 15–17 years

Categories

• 3D Design & Modelling: Create cultural objects, characters, or buildings using 3D tools

• Coding & Animation: Build games or animations based on Malaysian culture

• Electronics & Robotics: Design electronic or robotic projects inspired by cultural themes

• Stage 1 (Interclub): Free

Awards

• Stage 1: E-certificate of participation

• Stage 2: Score-based awards with medals and certificates

Terms & Conditions (Summary)

Participants must submit original work, present independently, follow all rules, and accept final results. The organizers reserve the right to document the event and use media content for promotional purposes. All decisions by the organizers are final.

ELIGIBILITY The contest is open to registered CIY.Club & ScopeIT Coders (Malaysia). GROUP CATEGORIES Level 1 & 2 Coders - Scratch, Tinkercad, Code.org Level 3 & 4 Coders - Open Platform Level 5 & above Coders - Open Platform SELECTION CRITERIA Entries will be judged based on addressing the original project brief (if relevant), theme, creativity, uniqueness, and playability. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

• Entries may be submitted by a single entrant only, no pairs or paired projects;

• Each participant may submit up to one entries only;

• The organizer may display your name and entry as part of future marketing material;

• The theme for Tech Creator 1.0 is SUPERHERO.

• Coder must create/ design/ code something related to the theme.

• You must share a link to your project.

• You must be able to explain your project.

The winner may be subject to an individual code review for projects with code or contacted to provide further details. A winning entry may be disqualified if it is apparent that the code is plagiarised with no understanding of function. • Finally, include any comments explaining your submission for Tech Creator 1.0.
