MINDHACK 2026: GUARDIANS OF THE PLANET
MindHack Malaysia is Back!
MindHack Malaysia is an international coding tournament for young minds aged 6–18, offering hands on challenges in Coding, 3D Design and Electronics. This year, the competition presents the theme "Guardians of the Planet." Our world faces numerous environmental challenges—from pollution and overconsumption of resources to climate change—leading us to a vital question: How can technology help protect our planet?
Under this theme, participants will explore real-world environmental issues through technology and creativity. Competitors will use their skills to design projects that help care for the environment, reduce our impact on nature, and build a more sustainable world. Students may create interactive simulations, design 3D models, or develop electronics projects that address specific sustainability challenges.
By encouraging young minds to think critically and build meaningful solutions in innovative and educational ways, this event aims to nurture environmental awareness while developing future-ready digital skills.

🏆 MINDHACK 2026: EVALUATION & JUDGING CRITERIA
Discover how your projects will be evaluated. Our judges will be looking at five core areas, balancing technical execution, alignment with the theme, and presentation skills.
1. Creativity and Innovation — 30%

What we look for: How original, imaginative, and inventive is the idea?

The Goal: Think outside the box! We want to see unique solutions and fresh perspectives that stand out from the crowd.
2. Relevance to Theme — 25%

What we look for: How well does the project reflect the "Guardians of the Planet" theme?

The Goal: Ensure your project clearly addresses environmental awareness, sustainability, or protecting our Earth.
3. Functionality & Usability — 20%

What we look for: How well does the project work? Is it user-friendly, stable, and purposeful?

The Goal: A great idea needs to work. The project should run smoothly and be easy for a user to navigate.
4. Teamwork & Collaboration (or Independent Effort) — 10%

For Teams: How effectively did team members collaborate, communicate, and share project responsibilities?

For Individuals: How efficiently did the participant plan, develop, and complete the project independently?
5. Presentation and Communication — 15%

What we look for: How clearly and confidently was the idea explained to the judges?

The Goal: Technical skills are only half the battle—being able to pitch your idea, explain your workflow, and answer questions confidently is key.

Participants must submit original work, present independently, follow all rules, and accept final results. The organizers reserve the right to document the event and use media content for promotional purposes. All decisions by the organizers are final.
